I'M KATHY.

California Dreamin':
I currently work as a Creative Director at an experiential marketing company based in Los Angeles. I help lead creative teams from design conception to design execution for a diverse range of well-known brands. My combined background in Exhibition and Interior Design gives me a unique position in creating well-thought-out experiences!
A Youngin':
My love for all things creative started at a young age. My mother is artistic, and I knew early on that I wanted to work in the creative industry. Who knows, perhaps it was various projects we did together? Or the hours of building a Victorian dollhouse kit that comes in a thousand pieces, where I happily glued each shingle to the roof? I believe that helped spark my love for interiors!
My Roots:
Born and raised in NJ, I started working at a young age. I've always liked a good hustle! I held jobs in various fields growing up - receptionist, swim coach, retail, and service industry are just to name a few! I found work rewarding and enjoyed being part of a team. Therefore when it came time for college, I knew I wanted to focus my drive on something that I was passionate about, and that path was Interior Design.
DTS:
After graduating from East Carolina University, NC, with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, I returned to NJ. I decided to live "DTS" (what locals would refer to as Down The Shore). Between fist-pumping and relaxing on the beach, I worked at an architectural firm where I learned the ins and outs of control drawings, detailing, and finishes. I learned a ton and appreciated my time there. However, I was ready for something more!
Concrete Jungle:
I took my chances in NY, where I completed my master's in Exhibit Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I thrived and learned all the endless possibilities this industry has to offer. After graduation, I entered Agency Life - the world of live events, press stunts, sponsorships, pop-up activations, trade show exhibits, conferences, and even permanent installations. The fast-paced environment, aggressive timelines, and constant project rotation brought me to where I am today, a decade later!
